Tuesday

I do not know where the day went. We finished up the ice box cleaning, made up a grocery list, and restocked for the next two weeks.

We still have lots of soup. I am beginning to wonder how much soup we have at home.

We did some laundry, and took lots of naps. For some reason it was a really nappy sort of day. I did go through the New England Cruising guides to find places where we can tie up to a dock, or have water taxi service. Without a dinghy that works for us, we will have to be careful where we go, or just plan to see the world from the mooring.

Do not dispair! We're here, and we're reading your blog. We still want to know what's going on, even if it is in Maine and not in Bermuda. As you said, the prudent sailor knows when to turn back.

Sounds to me like your 3rd hand was more of a hinderance than a help. Better you should put him ashore than put him overboard, no? :oD

Look at it this way, you will on US shores when Cap'n Jack gets back!

Hey, so how much soup can one really eat? Don't tortillas & salsa sound good about now?? Was worried that ya'll were heading into the rain storms that plagued the east coast ... lots of flooding there. Here in the west, it's just hot and hot.

Glad you chose to turn around and not continue into a monster storm, especially with engine not running properly.

I'm with Debby, the 3rd hand didn't sound very handy.

Ta for now, Bruce W.
