Boarding Day
We arrived at the train station the requisite two hours before departure time, to find the train delayed by an hour. After checking our bags, we wandered off for a bite of dinner. On the way back we stopped for a few minutes at The Tattered Cover, one of my favorite places.
Those of you familiar with Colorado will know this is the largest independent bookstore in the area. The downtown branch often has book signings with authors we don't see other places. I have always found TC a warm and inviting place to shop for books.
While we waited for the train we did what we always do, talk to the other passengers. A group from Australia doing the grand tour of the United States - coast to coast in 6 weeks. Families on their way home after vacations. A few business men, and folks like us, heading out to start our adventures.
