Nebraska to Chicago
After breakfast we headed back to our sleeper car. The bunks make up into two facing seats. Our original seating assignment had us down the hall from each other, but the porter moved us to the cabin across from mother's. We can sit with the doors open and chat. We are scheduled to come into Chicago mid- to late afternoon. We are currently 1 hour behind schedule. Fortunatly, our train out of Chicago is later tonight, so we should make connections.
The train crew develops a sort of 'sea legs.' Trains have a different sort of motion to them. I find it difficult to predict, sudden and jerky. The hardest thing to get used to is the sharp sideways motion.
